44. Quarterly Dose of LA

Still not sick of this place yet.
Took a visit Friday of spring break. Honestly, I think there are more food places to try than non-food places to visit in LA. Lunch, shopping, grand opening of Nasty Gal (Santa Monica location), Alfred's (because Caffe Luxxe was closed :'( but good thing Alfred's carried Stumptown♥ aka coffee love #2), and KBBQ (back home).
Advanced apologies for the series of extremely saturated photos coming up, thanks to my iPhone which apparently is incapable of displaying the correct color tones on the mobile screen.

NASTYGAL @ Santa Monica. I actually saw the #GIRLBOSS herself, except her California tan deceived me, making me think it wasn't her :(

Now in one of my favorite LA neighborhoods- Brentwood

Fun Alfred {Coffee and Kitchen} deets: they have a $10 latte, their coffees are from Stumptown, their salads are from Greenleaf, pastries are from Farmshop, and they carry juice from Pressed!

Afternoon talks over dripped Stumptown coffee

On the 405 going home, near Torrence.

KBBQ salad and little dishes, no real KBBQ pictures because I was too hungry.

43. 1000 Steps

After 2 years of postponing the trip over and over again, (why are there so many delays in my life ??), I finally went to seek the pools in Laguna. But first- brunch.

Hsiao didn't come along for food because he was getting a hair cut.

Just the basic things.

7th → 8th → 9th x PCH

200 some steps.

The moment I got to the bottom, I actually saw Ashley! :D Spontaneous reunion/5 min catch up, if you ask me.

Looking in.

So many peace signs I'm sorry.

This was the closest we made it. Pretty bummed out because we were actually waiting for the tides to lower so that we can climb against the wall to the other side but the lifeguard actually came over, caught us (because we were talking) and made us go back :(((
I also didn't pee my pants. I really didn't.

Coming back up

Newport Bound

And going home..

Hsiao wanted to try It's Boba Time, which I never thought of trying because it looked unimpressive from the outside/passing by. But it's a good thing we did because it was pretty good. I will be returning :)

hahaha we all got boba milk tea even though we said outside that we'd try their top 10 popular things and pointed at different items.

So the lab said that they were going to get ramen, so we all went to ramen @ Yamadaya. Pretty good I'd say.

I think everyone was moving in this pano because they thought it was a video...so it ended up kind of :(

Okay srsly. Still pretty sour about it. I'll be back for you sometime.

42. Holy moly Holé Molé

(why are my titles so cheesy n basic)

We took it chill on Wednesday. Kevin couldn't come along because he was already eating; we decided on lunch at 130p- hah. I was craving tacos so we went to Holé Molé in Tustin. Apparently they're famous for their fish tacos, but I'm not interested in fish tacos so I didn't try that. But reviewers on Yelp enjoy visiting this join on Tuesdays for their $1.19 Taco Tuesdays and order fish tacos.

Then we went to Bambū for their happy hour on drinks. Hsiao is still biased, and prefers Lollipop.

We couldn't think of what to do after getting boba so we went to the Great Park. There was a huge 'water collector' drain. Kind of icky.

41. Disneyland

On Monday, we went to Disneyland.
The temperature was in the 70's (Fahrenheit) which made it quite comfortable. And because it was on a Monday, there wasn't as many people as there normally are. We arrived at 9am-ish and got our first fast passes then. Because the times were orderly at the beginning, it was convenient because we were able to get a fast pass every hour and get the next fast pass (all at an hour's interval). The only sad part of the trip was that the entire Critters Country, Peter Pan ride, and Matterhorn was down for renovation.

Getting our magical tickets at South Coast Plaza the day before.

In New Orleans Sq. by the Pirates of the Caribbean ride

More Fastpass aesthetics.

Selfie on the Roger Rabbit ride.

Chillin' out by Chip n Dale's house.

More Toon Town glam.

Having lunch at Plaza Inn.

Being driving at Autopia :)

We had a cute yellow car. But you can't really take a picture of the car while in the car...

Apparently sometime within these two years, Starbucks opened up a location on Main Street at Disneyland. (I haven't been here for 2 years).

Disney-dotted i's

Preeeety cup logos. :D They have a cold cup version of this, which I wanted, but it was in a venti-size, which seemed pretty daunting to me...soooo I didn't get it.

B sitting on the curb waiting for the fireworks to start with my scarf on looking like a happy little girl. Wow that was a run-on sentence.

Map of old Disney. We watched Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, however I fell asleep during the show. (this was around 845 pm)

We watched some cartoons, and I proceeded to take pictures with the cartoon posters because they were so cute.

Main Street at night.

I also had (2) two Dole Whips, which I tried for the first time at Disneyland (I've had it at the Dole Plantation in Oahu prior to that) and fell in love, a churro, and a London Fog at that Starbucks. I think that was the only junk food I had at the park. That's pretty good, considering how I wanted ice cream and popcorn earlier in the day. Blake had a pineapple juice, but I was't too interested in that.
